Missouri Water Park Accused of Racism
Missouri waterpark cancels private pool party for Black children after they arrive at the park.
The reason given was the manager did not feel comfortable with the group.
@kansascitydiscover Kansas City youth denied access to summit waves a water park in Lee Summit, Missouri due to their skin color. Yesterday a youth age private party was canceled on his birthday because summit waves owner said she “ didn’t feel comfortable “. She proceeded and told the group “ that they didn’t represent summit waves”. She told the group that she’d refund them their money and proceeded to shut the pool down. However guards have been caught making racist slurs on Snapchat towards the group since being outed.#racism #sadstory ♬ original sound - KC Discover

ReplyDeleteWhite folks being white folks!
ReplyDeleteSorry but I wouldn't of let them in either. If I was invited and saw that many young people I wouldn't have went in.There probably was some racism involved but lets be honest a lot of black people feel the same way
ReplyDeleteAin’t it funny that the main destroyer of lives, lands, and cultures is always the one “scared” of us black people?
DeleteBlack Man/Woman, you have so much inherent power in you and you are afraid or don’t know how to use it. SMH
Just get the check and keep it pushin!
ReplyDeletewhat a comment to make! if you went out of your way to plan a wonderful day for your children and friends you wouldnt be saying that. Are black children's tears less valuable to you? Black money doesnt spend the same?
DeleteI read that they got a full refund, and bought way more people than what they told the park about when they booked the amusement park; so there is no harm done. Folks just looking for a come up!
ReplyDeleteHow is this looking for a come up when they showed up to swim? calling out racist behavior and being treated unfair is never a come up. The park should learn to be less judgemental and do the job they were paid to do and they wouldnt have to worry about any one coming up or trying to come up off of them!
Deletewhy is it that its so easy to brush past blatant racism? Its not about how much was paid and or returned, they ruined their son's birthday. They paid to rent the park out so other people weren't going to be coming in anyway. If it was a group of white children, there would not have been any problems what so ever!
